Course Descriptions
Standard First Aid
Participants will gain the skills and knowledge necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and to minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives.
CPR and AED
Participants will learn how to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This course is offered as Adult or Adult, Child and Infant.
Fast Track Adult CPR/AED with Standard First Aid
This is an accelerated course that combines an Adult CPR/AED Review Course with a full Standard First Aid Course. This course is a great option for those with previous experience in CPR/AED that need a Review course paired with Standard First Aid. Must possess a current Adult CPR/AED certification.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Those with a duty to act (professional rescuers such as police, firefighters, lifeguards, healthcare providers) will gain the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim of cardiac arrest. Participants will also learn how to perform Dual Rescuer CPR and use Bag Valve Masks. This is a 2 year certification.
Review Courses
Save time and money! If you have a current certification card and would like to renew it prior to expiration you may enroll in a Review Course. Must possess a current certification card for the review class you wish to attend.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training - Preventing Disease Transmission
Participants will gain an understanding of the intent of the Bloodborne Pathogens regulation issued by OSHA. This course is available as an add-on. Please call for more info.
Babysitter’s Training
Participants, ages 11 to 15, will gain the skills and knowledge necessary
to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult
guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and some first aid.
Wilderness First Aid
This course is for those who work, live or play in remote areas – away from the usual EMS service. Participants will gain the skills and knowledge to promote outdoor safety, preparedness and basic emergency response for remote locations, including coping with extreme conditions, contacting help and prioritizing care. Must be at least 14 years of age and possess a current CPR/AED certification.
